Stephen Burgmeier knows government spending is out of control. Reducing the tax burden on all taxpayers will encourage more people to call Iowa home. Iowans need to know the truth that the state Democrats moved millions of dollars in state obligations to the local tax payers by not funding the Homestead tax credit and not funding the allowable growth for schools or reducing the allowable growth so property tax payers weren't left holding the proverbial bag

Iowa agriculture

Stephen Burgmeier knows agriculture is the constant driving force to the Iowa economy. We must support our agricultural communities and encourage private investments to expand the markets. New markets and innovation will bring more capital into the ag sector.

Iowa business

Stephen Burgmeier will work to remove regulations which cripple our businesses.The commercial property tax must come down,they pay an unfair share to support local government. We must also look for the long term approach to bring more jobs to Iowa, not more quick-fix government programs.
